Lounastaja (lunch menus)

Introduction

Lounastaja is a Finnish lunch-menu service used by restaurants and workplaces to publish daily menus. InfoBox integrates with Lounastaja via an embeddable iframe URL: paste the URL, and your daily lunch menu auto-updates on screens whenever you update it in Lounastaja.

Step 1: Get your Lounastaja embed URL

From your Lounastaja account:

• Sign in to lounastaja.fi.
• Open the menu (FI: lounaslista) you want to embed.
• Find the Embed or Share option (varies by Lounastaja's UI version).
• Copy the public iframe URL.

Step 2: Add the iFrame slide

In InfoBox:

• Open the screen or playlist where the lunch menu should appear.
• Click Add new (FI: Lisää uusi).
• Pick iFrame as the slide type.
• Paste the Lounastaja URL.
• Click Add.

Scheduling tip

For an actual lunch-time-only display:

• Open the slide settings and click Ajasta.
• Set Days of week to Mon–Fri (or your serving days).
• Set Daily constraint to your lunch hours (e.g. 10:30–14:00).
• For Saturday-different hours, use per-weekday time windows. See Per-weekday time windows.

Design tips

If your Lounastaja menu looks too small on screen:

• Use Lounastaja's display modes (e.g. large-format / kiosk view) if available. They're designed for screens.
• Set the slide refresh interval to 60 minutes. Lounastaja menus typically only change once a day, so faster refresh isn't needed.
