Canva designs (connected)
Connect your Canva account, import a design from Canva, and InfoBox keeps every page in sync automatically.
Introduction
The connected Canva integration imports designs straight from your Canva account: no exporting, no re-uploading. Every page of the design becomes its own slide, and InfoBox re-imports the design on a schedule, so edits made in Canva reach your screens automatically. It's available to every organization.
How it works
The key facts:
- InfoBox imports an exported copy of each page, so content keeps playing on screens even if the Canva connection is later removed.
- Unlike Google Slides, you choose which pages to import: each selected page becomes its own slide. Pages hidden in Canva are imported as hidden slides.
- The imported slides form a managed group on the screen or playlist, marked Synced from Canva.
- The Canva connection is organization-wide. Admins manage it on the Addons page (sidebar → Addons).
- Canva import is available on Pro screens and in playlists.
Step 1: Connect your Canva account
Two places to connect:
- Addons page (admins): click Addons in the sidebar, find the Canva card, and click Connect Canva account.
- While adding content: on a Pro screen or in a playlist, click Add new slide, open the Integrations category, pick Canva, and connect from there.
- Either way, you're sent to Canva's sign-in and back to InfoBox once you approve access. The pill on the Canva card shows Connected when the link is active.
Step 2: Import a design
On the screen or playlist where you want the design:
- Click Add new slide and open the Integrations category.
- Pick Canva and find your design with the search box. Each design shows its page count.
- Choose which pages to import with the checkboxes, or Select all pages. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Click Import selected pages. Each selected page becomes its own slide.
- Publish as usual once the slides are in.
Keeping content in sync
Imported designs update in two ways:
- Automatically: InfoBox re-imports the design on an interval, 60 minutes by default and 5 minutes at minimum, up to 24 hours. Change it in the slide group's sync settings in the editor, or in the Auto sync column on the Addons page.
- Manually: click Sync on the slide group in the editor, or Sync now on the Addons page, to pull the latest version immediately.
- Each run's result shows in the Sync status column: Success, No changes, or Error.
- Open in Canva on the Addons page opens the design in Canva in a new tab for editing.
Tip
Design your weekly promotions in Canva and let the sync do the publishing. Pick a sync interval that matches how often the design really changes.
Scheduling and duplicating
The group behaves as a unit where it makes sense:
- Click Schedule on the group card to schedule every page at once.
- In select mode, ticking the group selects all its pages for hide, show, schedule, or delete.
- Duplicating a Canva slide keeps its link to the design, so both copies keep syncing.
Unlinking and disconnecting
Three levels of removal:
- Remove one design: on the Addons page, click Remove on the design's row. Its managed slides are deleted from the screen.
- Disconnect the Canva account: click Disconnect on the Canva card. Slides already on screens remain but no longer receive updates.
- Reconnect later: click Connect Canva account again. Linked designs can sync again.
Summary
Connect once, pick the pages to import, and InfoBox keeps the design in sync: every 60 minutes by default, or instantly with Sync. Disconnecting keeps the slides on screens but stops updates. Prefer this over exporting files whenever the design lives in Canva.
