Introduction
Two time-savers in the screen and playlist editors: Duplicate copies a slide or a playlist with all its settings, and Select lets you act on many slides at once. Both produce drafts, so nothing changes on screen until you publish.
Duplicating a slide
Every slide card has a duplicate button (FI: Kopioi sisältö):
- Click it and the copy lands right after the original, with the same duration, schedule, visibility, and rotation.
- The copy is a draft. The Publish button lights up; the copy reaches the screen when you publish.
- Google Slides and Canva slides keep their link to the source, so both copies keep syncing.
- A playlist row on a screen can be duplicated too; the copy keeps the row's own settings and you can point it at another playlist.
- Typical use: the same image with two different schedules, or a template slide you tweak per version.
Duplicating a playlist
On the Playlists page, each card has a quiet Duplicate (FI: Kopioi) pill next to its name:
- The copy is named "Name (copy)" and sorts next to the original.
- Everything is copied: every slide, durations, schedule, permissions, and the sync mode.
- Screen assignments are not copied, so the copy plays nowhere until you assign it. Open it, edit, assign, publish.
- Typical use: next month's campaign from this month's, or a per-location variant of a shared playlist.
Selecting many slides
Click Select (FI: Valitse) in the editor toolbar:
- Cards get checkboxes; click anywhere on a card to tick it. The counter reads "N selected".
- Google Slides and Canva groups select as a whole, and playlist rows on a screen can be selected too.
- You can still drag to reorder while selecting.
- Add, Save draft, and Publish are disabled until you click the green Done (FI: Valmis) button.
Actions on the selection
With slides ticked:
- Schedule (FI: Ajasta): opens the normal schedule window and applies one schedule to every selected slide. Disabled in a playlist that uses one schedule for all its slides.
- Hide / Show (FI: Piilota / Näytä): change visibility for all of them.
- Delete (FI: Poista): marks them for deletion. Each card gets a restore button until you publish, so there's no confirmation step.
- All of these are drafts. Click Done, then Publish.
Summary
Duplicate a slide from its card, a playlist from the Playlists page. Select, tick, then Schedule, Hide, Show, or Delete in one go. Publish afterwards.
