Clock and weather slides

Introduction

Two ready-made slides for the everyday needs of an info screen: a Clock and a Weather view. Both live under Weather & time in the Add new slide picker, need no account or setup, and keep themselves up to date on the screen.

Clock

A full-screen clock:

• Click Add new slide, open Weather & time and pick Clock.
• Choose digital or analog, whether to show seconds and the date line, the language of the date, the time zone and a dark or light theme.
• Check the preview and click Add clock. The screen keeps time itself; nothing to refresh.

Weather

Weather now, the next hours and the next days for one place:

• Click Add new slide, open Weather & time and pick Weather.
• Type a city or town and pick it from the list. Choose the language and a dark or light theme.
• Check the preview and click Add weather. The slide refreshes its forecast on its own.

What the weather slide shows

The place and today's date, the temperature now with a weather symbol and a short description, wind and humidity, the next eight hours, and the next four days with high and low. The background carries the current weather quietly: a sun glow, drifting clouds, rain, snow, or stars at night. Landscape and portrait screens both work.

Good to know

A few details:

• Data: forecasts come from MET Norway (yr.no), free open data under CC BY 4.0; the symbols are Yr's own. The slide credits both.
• Time zone: the clock defaults to Helsinki; pick another for a screen abroad.
• Duration: like any slide, the screen's default duration applies unless you set one in the slide's advanced settings. A clock or weather slide usually wants 10–20 seconds.
• Changing later: click Change on the slide to reopen its form.
