Adding more screens to your plan

How to expand your plan when you need more screens, depending on your billing channel.

Introduction

When you need more screens than your current plan allows, the path depends on which billing channel you use. The Platform itself doesn't have an in-app upgrade flow. New screens are always provisioned by us.

The flow at a glance

Three steps regardless of channel:

  • Order: contact us or use your Chargebee portal to add screens to your plan.
  • Provision: our team adds the new screens to your organization in the Platform.
  • Pair: if InfoBox Basic devices are part of the order, they ship pre-paired. Otherwise the new screens appear in your Screens list with a Connect Device button waiting for a Device ID.

Invoice customers (manual billing)

If you pay by invoice:

  • Email kasper@infoboxi.com with how many additional screens you want.
  • Tell us whether you also need InfoBox Basic devices, native Android displays from us, or you're using your own Android hardware.
  • We send a pro-rated invoice for the rest of the contract period.
  • Once the invoice is paid (or sent for invoicing), we provision the screens.

Credit-card customers (Chargebee)

If you pay by credit card:

  • Sign in to your Chargebee customer portal. The link was emailed to you when you signed up.
  • Add or remove screen licenses from the subscription panel.
  • Chargebee pro-rates automatically and charges your card.
  • Notify us at kasper@infoboxi.com so we can provision the new screens in the Platform.
  • Eventually this provisioning step will be automatic. Until then, the email is required.

After provisioning

What happens next:

  • The new screens appear in your Screens list within minutes.
  • If you ordered InfoBox Basic devices or pre-paired native Android displays, they're already connected. Just plug in and configure WiFi. See Setup overview.
  • If you're using your own Android hardware, install the InfoBox Digital Signage app on each device and pair it via Connect Device. See Connect Device and Device ID.
  • Add content via slides or playlists as usual.

Summary

More screens means a quick conversation with us (invoice) or a Chargebee portal change (credit card). We provision the new screens in the Platform; you set up the hardware (or use your own).
